No Longer Mild Mannered?

For those of you who know Cheryl, know that, though she cannot leap tall buildings nor fly faster than a speeding bullet, she, like Clark Kent/Superman, is quite mild mannered. It takes a lot to get her going but recently, the tide has been changing.

Over the period of what seems like forever, Cheryl has been fighting with Dell Computers over the problem with her laptop. On countless occasions she has tried to get this problem solved and, though Dell has promised to take care of this problem promptly, they have failed to do so. Now I cannot say as to whether or not this is par for this company and though I haven't had this problem with them, there is no excuse that she should have to go through this mess.

As I have read through her posts, I simply cannot understand why she has yet to start publicly swearing... I really believe that I would possibly find myself in that position if I were in her shoes. I 'gotta' give you credit... You have the patience of a ... well... umm... I'm not really sure but, never-the-less, you have a heck of a lot of patience! Anyways... I have posted this video to let you know that you are not alone!

P.S. We all really hope that your laptop woes disappear!

I have also been following Cheryl's story and I think she has shown remarkable restraint. I'm sorry to say that I would have been far less ladylike in the same position. I HATE bad customer service, before and AFTER.

A saint I'm not, but never before has my patience been stretched so thin. I yelled, I screamed, I was quiet and patient, cynical, you name it. Do you think I'll get a reply from corporate? Wouldn't that be something? I feel like I've got my life back now that the computer's fixed. Will it stay fixed? I can only hope.

Thanks for this wonderful post Dave. It made my day!

My laptop is an old one that I bought used, it's running on Windows 95 and I just used it when I had my boat, I haven't fired it up for 3 years.

But I love my new desktop that was made here. No problems with it but if there was I would just take it to the shop and deal with real people.

Something to be said about that and I think the 700 bucks was a fair price for a good machine.

Dell has a history of poor customer service. It's really tragic for people who rely on their computers for their livelihood.

that was really nice of you Dave to compliment Cheryl. she truly is one of the nicest, most patient and kind persons i've met thru the blogs. i'm really surprised at Dell 'cause they're usually very efficient, well at least with me and a few other people they've been.

the video disappeared Dave so i didn't get to see it!!!
